Stephen Fry and Mark Carwardine go on a dramatic, terrifying, life enhancing celebratory adventure to bring the Northern White Rhino back from extinction. In the most dramatic and moving episode of ‘Last Chance to See’, Stephen and Mark track down the Northern Rhino only to find that it is declared extinct in the wild while they are held up at border by a refugee crisis. The only viable breeding Northern Rhino in the world are in a zoo in Czechoslovakia, and there are only 5 left on the planet. The pair aim to take all 5 back to Kenya in the hope that returning them home will induce them to breed. The hope is that these 5 can save the entire species before it is never witnessed first hand again. This film will follow the Rhinos all the way from their zoos, to the wild, observing all of the ordeals they must face. This will be emotional, up beat, awe-inspiring and a real symbol of hope.
