Todays top artists actors and scholars grapple with the question in this creative and cinematic look at a uniquely human obsession. The Heart is a Drum Machine is a new feature documentary film project from the producers of the cult classic music documentary Moog, directed by Hans Fjellestad, which explores the life, and influences of one of the leading exponents of electronic music, and the inventor of the sound of modern electronica, the Moog Synthesiser.

The programme tackles the views of a number of well known celebrities, and their thoughts and feelings on the power of music and the reason it touches us as it does. There are some deep insights into the power, but also the meaning of music, with noteable contributions coming from John Frusciante, the ever popular musician from Red Hot Chilli Pepper Fame. The programme includes:
